Documentary "Journey of Smiles" Wins Film Award in Cannes

Great news and very happy team! "Journey of Smiles" - our web documentary produced for Dentsply Sirona and Smile Train will be honored with a Dolphin Trophy at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2024! The official award ceremony will take place on September 26th in Cannes, where we'll find out whether we've won Silver, Gold, or even the Grand Prix. Fingers crossed! We are incredibly proud of this recognition and even more proud that people see this project.

The documentary highlights the stories of children in Colombia born with cleft and demonstrates how modern dentistry can transform their lives. We captured the journeys of children at the beginning or end of their treatment. In addition to visiting dental practices and a 3D lab where cutting-edge technology is utilized, we also visited the families and children in their homes, interviewing and capturing them in real-life situations. It's a challenging journey, but for many children, it ends in happiness—with a life where they can smile again. These touching moments were captured over four production days in this wonderful documentary, a passion project we will never forget.
